You can never have too many flowers

DSC04614

I think this came from the wildflower mix I sprinkled near my garden this past spring. I'm not sure just what kind it is but I love it. It's so delicate and sweet.

Does anyone know what kind it is? Julia? Anyone? :0)

This my entry for this week.

Shiny, Happy Bees...

I was so excited to see that the honeybees have spied my sunflowers!

I just stood there and watched them work their magic.

I really like this one of the little bee coming in for a landing.

I am definitely going to plant more sunflowers next year! The bees need all of the help they can get!

Another pretty flower photo

I am sending this over to Today's Flowers. Go check out all of the beautiful flowers over there!

We planted these bulbs...Ya know, I can't remember when. Anyway, I just noticed this one had popped out today. Isn't it cool! I can't remember what it is either.

my zinnias are blooming! -Today's Flower Post

I am sending my zinnias over to Today's Flowers. Go check out this blog, it is so gorgeous!

I took a little walk through the garden today and discovered that my zinnias are blooming! I have never grown zinnias, in fact, I really didn't even known what a zinnia looked like until this summer. I have quickly fallen in love with these sweet flowers. Daisies are my number one but I have to say these are running a close second.

My zinnia seeds were a lovely surprise gift from Molly the Pirate. She tucked them in with an order I placed for some of the beautiful earrings that she makes for her Etsy shop.

I am intrigued by these flowers. They are so interesting. Each one is unique and the detail in the center is amazing!

Thanks again Molly for your thoughtful gift! :0)

Banana Peppers

I am growing several different types of peppers in my garden this year. This one is a banana pepper. I think it's so pretty.

summer daisy

This week's theme is Pink. It's funny, some of the daisies are pink and some are white on these plants.

Ant Condo

For some reason the ants in my garden have taken up residence inside of this zucchini flower. -Just this one! They aren't in any of the others. Why? Maybe they have controlled rent in this place. Maybe their Grasshopper Landlord gave them a good deal.

I Heart Faces Entry Week 24 - Let's Hear It For The Boys

This week's I Heart Faces Theme is Let's Hear It For The Boys in honor of Father's Day.

I just love this photos of my son hugging his dog, Mudge. This was on a trip home from visiting my dad for his 60th birthday. I think he has the sweetest look on his face.

I found this guy while I was weeding my garden today. I've never seen a bug like this before!

Sweet Little Ladybug

My daughter noticed this little lady was resting up after a long day of eating aphids off of my roses. I had to grab my camera and snap her picture!

Nasturtium in the Rain

I noticed that my very first Nasturtium is about to bloom! The flower didn't come out very clear but I love the drops of water.

The Accidental Carrot and a Few Other Garden Photos

While I was planting my garden I accidentally spilled my carrot seeds. This one is growing under my sunflower.

I bought the wrong kind of peas. I thought that I got bush peas. Now, I need to build something for them to climb.

My sunflowers are going crazy!

So are my roses!

Don't these flowers remind you of a Spanish Dancer's Skirt?

My husband transplanted this Lily. We didn't think it would survive.

My husband said he liked the shape of this one.

And look, I have a strawberry! Now I just hope I can just keep those pesky slugs away!
