Daisies
by Evaleen Stein
At evening when I go to bed
I see the stars shine overhead;
They are the little daisies white
That dot the meadow of the Night.
And often while I'm dreaming so,
Across the sky the Moon will go;
It is a lady, sweet and fair,
Who comes to gather daisies there.
For, when at morning I arise,
There's not a star left in the skies;
She's picked them all and dropped them down
Into the meadows of the town.
oh very pretty! I just love flowers! I used to check out garden books from the library and pour over them during the wintertime.
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL pictures! My fav was of the tiny ladybug!
ReplyDeleteIsn't is great how suck pretty delicate little plants are able to make it through from the brown, like tulips and waterlillies
ReplyDeleteYour garden is so far a head of mine. It is sad this year. I got such a late start. But the seedlings are growing and in about 30 days I might have a mellon or something or at least I hope. :)
ReplyDeleteOh man, nothing puts the fear into your heart like drop-in company, lol! I run around madly cleaning up as I go to the door!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the most pleasant blogs on the net. I cant stop smiling... your blog has made me that happy! :)
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! Wow, I wish i had a green thumb-- I'm thinking of getting one of those topsy turney things. Have you seen it? It's on an infomercial :) I feel like that'll be the plant's only chance for survival.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos!
