Daisies
by Evaleen Stein
At evening when I go to bed
I see the stars shine overhead;
They are the little daisies white
That dot the meadow of the Night.
And often while I'm dreaming so,
Across the sky the Moon will go;
It is a lady, sweet and fair,
Who comes to gather daisies there.
For, when at morning I arise,
There's not a star left in the skies;
She's picked them all and dropped them down
Into the meadows of the town.
I have been avoiding coming over here because I KNEW I'd love it. Now I have two guilty pleasures ala Kim. Sigh. I'm going to have to hire someone to come clean my house if I don't get off this computer...
ReplyDeleteThis is the grandest time of years as the vegetables come to fruition!
ReplyDeleteLuck you to have a garden of your very own! I love banana peppers in greek salads. Yum!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the cutest thing? No wonder they call them banana peppers, lol!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I don't like waking up to a sink full of dishes but sometimes I just let it go overnight...sigh. But not very often.
