I think this came from the wildflower mix I sprinkled near my garden this past spring. I'm not sure just what kind it is but I love it. It's so delicate and sweet.
Does anyone know what kind it is? Julia? Anyone? :0)
This my entry for this week.
Daisies
by Evaleen Stein
At evening when I go to bed
I see the stars shine overhead;
They are the little daisies white
That dot the meadow of the Night.
And often while I'm dreaming so,
Across the sky the Moon will go;
It is a lady, sweet and fair,
Who comes to gather daisies there.
For, when at morning I arise,
There's not a star left in the skies;
She's picked them all and dropped them down
Into the meadows of the town.
I am not sure of the name of this flower, but it it does look amazing. I have always thought that nature is the most divine designer out there. Wishing you the most wonderful weekend ever!:-)))
ReplyDeleteWell I am not quite sure seeing as I am not quite an expert on ornamentals. Give me a week and I can ace it!! Kind of looks like a zinnia cross if I had to put a guess out there. The number of petals on your flower is amazing. Good portrait.
ReplyDeleteOh, what a beautiful yellow flower!

ReplyDeleteLooks like a lemon meringue zinnia, but that my own made up name. :) I work in a HUGE flower nursery as a master gardener and I have never seen that color. LOVELY! Hey, from SITS!

ReplyDeleteA flower's appeal is in its contradictions, so delicate in form yet strong in fragrance, so small in size yet big in beauty, so short in life yet long on effect.
ReplyDeleteIf I'm not mistaken it is a dahlia. Dahlias have many varieties....this might be one.
Anyway, have fun and keep a song in your heart, Lee.

I don't have a clue but, it's beautiful. I am so envious that you live in a part of the U.S. that flowers just grow so beautifully.
