I Have Bitten Off More Than I Can Chew!

It started out innocently enough. I just wanted to put up a new wallpaper border in my kitchen.
See, isn't this just the cutest!

It ends up that there are several layers of wallpaper and paint up there.

I don't doubt that I am breathing in lead paint dust!

Oh, and black mold spores since I also found some water damage that we couldn't see UNTIL NOW.

I am so glad I thought of this new border idea!

  1. I fixed the comment thing at my duck blog. I wondered why no one commented there. :O

I removed a border back in Omaha and found a stenciled in border with pretty flowers. Oh, how neat! As I kept going, I saw they did not quite finish the job. Bummer. So we just painted over it and then I painted farm stuff all over the room. I was never able to finish that project since we had to move. :(

It is amazing how a small project turns to be so big.

  4. But once the chickens are up and running.. ha ha... you will love it. I love the chicken/rooster motif. Whenever if ever I get a new kitchen I have to find room for chicken art.
