I Have Bitten Off More Than I Can Chew!

It started out innocently enough. I just wanted to put up a new wallpaper border in my kitchen.
See, isn't this just the cutest!

It ends up that there are several layers of wallpaper and paint up there.

I don't doubt that I am breathing in lead paint dust!

Oh, and black mold spores since I also found some water damage that we couldn't see UNTIL NOW.

I am so glad I thought of this new border idea!

  1. I fixed the comment thing at my duck blog. I wondered why no one commented there. :O

I removed a border back in Omaha and found a stenciled in border with pretty flowers. Oh, how neat! As I kept going, I saw they did not quite finish the job. Bummer. So we just painted over it and then I painted farm stuff all over the room. I was never able to finish that project since we had to move. :(

It is amazing how a small project turns to be so big.

  2. Looking good so far! Keep up the good work-you'll get it done in no time and be glad you did it I'm sure! I like the border you chose!

Don't forget to stop by my blog and sign up for my giveaway!

  3. Stopping by from sits to say hi! Good luck with the rest of your border!

  4. But once the chickens are up and running.. ha ha... you will love it. I love the chicken/rooster motif. Whenever if ever I get a new kitchen I have to find room for chicken art.

  5. Well, I love the border! Be sure and post when you get it done! It'll be so pretty!

Speak up, I can't quite hear you!
